Everything!!

Dad, Sean and me loved our experience at the Catacombs!

The Catacombs are a deep hole under the ground where the Romans moved the dead bodies when they were rotting and spreading too many diseases. In 1 night they took all the dead bodies and moved them. They dumped them into this deep hole which is now called the Catacombs. One day a man called Haussmann decided to stack all the bones neatly in the tunnels (bbrrrr). And now the Catacombs are open to the public. We took the metro to them and as we were looking for them and we realised we were standing on the sign that said 'Catacombs This Way'! We walked down 20 meters below ground to get to the tunnels. We started walking through small halls that we thought went on forever. FINALLY we reached the bones after having what had felt forever!! The bones sent shivers down every one's backs as we walked through rooms and rooms of bones! As we finished our experience we went for a yummy lunch at a boulangerie near the Catacombs.

We were very flattered by the lovely sights of the Arc de Triomphe! As we all got to walk up the crowded famous street, Avenue Champs des Elysees. Every time Napoleon came back from a successful war, he would build himself an 'Arc' to show everyone he had won! We got up to the top of the Arc and we saw a beautiful view of the whole of Paris! We finally walked down to the ground and went into a cafe for coffee.

After, we went to a well known traditional French restaurant, Chartiers for a lovely dinner. I had spaghetti bolognaise for my main and profiteroles drowned in dark chocolate sauce. They were sooo good!

I loved the Museum of Natural History. We explored the museum and learnt all about the human life, and saw our favourite animals. After we went to the souvenir shop and I got a keyring for my bag.

Today we went to Fauchon - the most AWESOME shop in the world!! It was filled with delicious goodies, like chocolates, jams, wines, coffee and teas. I got a little bag of chocolates and some fudge. They were so good!! Soon we were tired and hungry so we went home and picked up spaghetti bolognaise!(my favourite)

Au Revoir
